We  welcome both primary and secondary producers. The former is a farmer or grower who has grown or raised what they are selling, meat, eggs, veg etc.  A secondary producer is adding value, eg a baker, brewer, jam or cider maker. We prefer you to source your ingredients direct from primary producers or locally, ie home grown, from gardens or hedgerows.

Information about attending the market and an application form can be downloaded here.  We recommend you first visit the market to talk to us and learn more about what to expect!  If you can bring something new to the market so much the better.

You will need to be able to satisfy the criteria laid down in our Rules and  acceptance is subject to an inspection to verify the information given.

We also welcome crafts, in particular a traditional craft requiring skill in the use of raw or recycled materials, eg wood turners, weavers, potters etc.

Local community groups and charities wishing to promote their activities at a market are invited to attend. We generally do not make a charge, unless you will be selling, so get in touch to reserve a space at a forthcoming market.  But do book in good time to ensure you get the month you want. You will need to show you have public liability insurance in place.

All talent welcome! We'd like to hear from local bands, musicians and singers that would be interested in performing at a market!  No electricity available on site so you need your portable own power source!

Also, if you can help to promote the market in any way we'd love to hear from you. Marketing or practical skills such as putting up signs are especially valued.  Or if you would like to volunteer on the day and are good at talking to people we would be happy to see you.
